CLASSROOM SET UP

1. Place your X1 on the docking station, you will hear a lock once it has been locked into place.


-Line up the ports on the left hand side of the X1 to the male ends of the docking station to help guide you on placing it correctly and quickly. 
-It will connect you to the monitor, smartboard and the webcam

 

2. Once connected you need to change the display settings

-On your computer's home screen do a right click and select display settings


3. Next, you must scroll down to "Multiple displays" and select "Extend on Desktop 1 and 3 " 

 

4. Now you must scroll back up and rearrange the screens in the order from left to right (1-3-2). You can click and drag the screens to put them in this order.

-Screen #3 will always be the monitor display by default and #2 will always be the smartboard display. 



 

 

5. Next, under "rearrange your displays" select screen #2 (#2 is your smartboard screen), once selected, it will be highlighted blue. Scroll down to "multiple displays" and select "Make this my main display"





6. On your Smartboard select "input" on the main screen, then select HDMI 1 to display the computer screen properly onto the smartboard.

 

-Now your smartboard will be interactive with touch and pens
-When you open up an application you can drag it over to any preferred screen, leaving you with three separate screens to use.
