KB200329 | HOW TO: Make Calls to Parents/Guardians using your laptop

Welcome to your 3CX phone information

* We have added a digital receptionist to our current phone system which mean that now
when a call is received , an automated system will answer and parents can enter
YOUR extension at any time. (9/10/2020)

* You can also download 3CX phone app to make and receive call on your cell phones. (check email)

Here is a quick setup guide for you to make calls to parents/guardians as we move to E-Learning. This quick 'how to'
will guide you to get your campus extension added to your browsers so you can call with ease and without using your
personal cell phone. (Please do not use personal cell phone or personal google voice). By using this method you are
ensuring that all calls for parents/guardians are being made from a Catalyst Schools' official number.

1- You will receive an email from 3CX - All you need from that is you username and your password and then follow

these steps

2 - Click this link to get connected to our internal phone system (make sure you're using chrome browser)

3- Enter your extension: sent to you in a email from 3CX

For exapmple 2100 and then you password p: kZtp5iEH8q

This is unique to each classroom and teachers.

4- Once logged on You'll see "install 3CX Installer for Chrome"

Then, click install

Then add to Chrome,

5- Once that is completed, Please activate the extension from the main 3cx page

6- Click on the blue phone icon on the top right hand corner of the browser and the dialer will open up.

Once opened you'll see existing extension - please move to Keypad and dial your parents.

Then click on the keypad

You can now make calls from your laptop and use extensions to call/text your colleagues right from the web extension.
